This Site and our services are intended for users in the United Kingdom. If you access from elsewhere, you are responsible for local compliance.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
Using the Site, purchasing any product/service, or creating an account means you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. We may update these Terms; the version and date above apply.
3. Services we provide
We offer:
- 1:1 coaching (ad hoc and package formats);
- The UKey Graduate Career Academy and other online programmes;
- Downloadable templates, guides and trackers;
- Webinars, Q&A sessions and community features (where offered).
Service descriptions, pricing, eligibility and any specific terms are shown at point of purchase.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to purchase coaching. For minors, a parent/guardian must contract on their behalf. We do not knowingly contract with individuals under 18 without parental involvement.
5. Ordering, pricing and payment
- Prices are in GBP and inclusive/exclusive of VAT as stated.
- You’ll see the steps to place an order and correct input errors before payment (Electronic Commerce Regs 2002).
- We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment processors act as independent controllers/processors of payment data.
- Your order is accepted when we send a confirmation email; at that point a contract forms between you and us.
6. Scheduling, rescheduling and no-shows (coaching)
- You can reschedule a session up to 24 hours before the start time via the scheduling tool/email link.
- Cancelling or rescheduling within 24 hours, or failing to attend, counts as a no-show and may be charged in full or deducted from your package allowance.
- We may reschedule in case of coach illness or events beyond our control; we’ll offer the earliest reasonable alternative.
7. Consumer cancellations and refunds
7.1 Services (coaching)
If you buy as a consumer, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the day after purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If you ask us to start services within the cooling-off period, you acknowledge you may lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed, and you must pay for any services already delivered up to the time of cancellation.
To cancel, email [email protected] with your order details. We will confirm receipt and process any refund due within 14 days by the original payment method.
7.2 Digital content (courses/downloads)
- For non-tangible digital content not supplied on a physical medium, you lose the right to cancel once the download/streaming begins with your express consent and acknowledgment.
- Faulty digital content will be remedied in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. Content and acceptable use
You must not:
- Copy, record or share course/coaching materials beyond the licence granted;
- Scrape, reverse engineer, introduce malware, or disrupt the Site;
- Post unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or infringing content in communities or submissions.
We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these Terms or applicable law.
9. Intellectual property and licence
All Site content, programmes, videos, templates, trademarks and logos are owned by UKey or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other IP laws.
When you purchase a course or download, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for your own use.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or make materials available to third parties without our written permission.
“UKey” and associated branding are our marks; you may not use them without consent.
10. Testimonials and results
Testimonials reflect the personal experience of individual clients. Outcomes vary based on effort, background and market conditions. We do not guarantee employment, admissions decisions, or visa outcomes.
11. Professional boundaries
UKey provides education and coaching. We do not provide legal, immigration, financial, medical or psychological advice.
Immigration advice in the UK is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (formerly OISC). If you need regulated immigration advice, use an authorised adviser.
Coaching may include general information about UK systems and careers; you remain responsible for your decisions.
12. Third-party services
We may integrate or link to third-party platforms (e.g. payment, scheduling, video, analytics). We are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business interruption or data loss;
- For paid services, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim;
- The Site is provided “as is”; availability may be interrupted for maintenance or events beyond our control.
14. Complaints and dispute resolution
Email [email protected] with “Complaint” in the subject. We aim to respond within 10 business days. If unresolved, either party may propose mediation via CEDR or similar. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction and English law applies.
15. Modifications
We may update the Site, services, and these Terms. Changes apply from publication on the Site. For material changes to paid services, we will provide reasonable notice.
